Dumb GF3 question

Ok, I realize I should probably know this, but I've never owned a card with TV-out so forgive my ignorance. Anyway, with the TV-out feature on the GeForce3 and similar cards, can you ouput to a TV and your monitor at the same time? Or is that strictly for the dual head cards?

Sarcasm maybe the recourse of a weak mind,
But it can be funny as hell.

the display card driver should have some kind of setting that will allow you to control the output, i.e. to TV, to monitor or to monitor and TV both. Asus cards have such settings.
