If you don't do gaming, go for the Radeon.

Definately. It has got better, more accurate color and it is better for DVD playback.

The Radeon is a good pick, BUT:
It won't work for copying DVD's to your VCR, it's got Macrovision and I don't know of any Macrivision fixes. Don't ask me how I know this.
You could always get an old DXR2 card for any video card, and use the RCA to VCR and S-Video to TV. You can easily disable Macrovision on that combination.
Don't ask me how I know this.
The programs for disbling macrovision are available at dvd-digest. The programs for Chonetel chipset (many GeForce cards) and DXR2 decoder cards work well.
Don't ask me how I know this.

A Radeon DDR (64 megs) or a GF2 Pro 64megs will do fine. They're both good performers.

OK, I really didn't want to say, but it was revealed to me through a vision from my deceased Dog. He's been around forever, and takes the form of various dogs so that he can have companionship with his creation, Man. He gets a kick out of the fact that people always spell his name, Dog, backwards!
