Problems with GeForce3 Asus8200

Ok this is the problem: I think the whole system doesn't work as well and fast as it should. I'll explain. I usually use 3dMark2001 to benchmark the functionality of the video card and the system speed. Now, not only the framerate is awful (similiar to a PIII 500 framerate) but the program itself often blocks the whole computer. The geforce3 drivers I'm using are 12.60, the ones in bundle with the card. How do I solve this (well, serious I'd say) problem?
Are there any special drivers I have to install? Any frequent problems like this?

when you say like p-III 500mhz you mean:the same card on both p-III and P-4?
or difrent card on the p-3?
12.60 drivers are defective,(from exprince) try using 12.41 from nvidia.
install dx8.

Yep ... use the 12.41's. But install DirectX 8.0a, first.

What's your 3DMark2001 score? Can you post the comparison URL for the last benchmark? And what OS are you running?
