did you make sure your Soundcard is windows 7 upgradeable? if its older you might need to download windows 7 drivers and install them manually and that's only if the Sound Card Brand company even wrote windows 7 drivers. find out what brand of card you got, and go to the company's website and see if they got a support section to download drivers. don't fall for the con to pay for drivers from a 3rd party site. all drivers are free. If a website asks for money for drivers don't buy them. If all else fails your gonna have to go down to the computer store and pick up a new sound card.
