Alright, a long while back, when the Geforce2MX first came out, i read a ton about it, and all I herd was good news.
Needless to say, i bought it.

Now im stuck with an average of 12FPS In 1024x768 on HalfLife.

Im running...
Windows 2000 Pro (sp2)
Hercules 3D Prophet 2 MX
192mb Memory
500mhz Intel Celron

I get a little under 3FPS running Max Payne in 800x600

This Geforce2 MX chip is supposed to be an improvement over TNT cards? My friends computer runs halflife in the same resolution at 30FPS (400mhz/64mb) What i should have done was spent 1/4 the money to get a old card thats 3 times better.

Dose anyone know how i could fix this? I know its not the cards fault, but their must be something im not doing properly. I have tryed the latest drivers from both the nvidia website, and the hercules website, and nither give any boost.

Ive tryed lowering the settings in the Advanced Display Properties. I dident notice a bit of difference, besides the severly degraded image quality.

Anyone have any ideas?

theres 100's of things that could be wrong. you could have FSAA on. my friend with a 1.33ghz tbird and a geforce2mx was getting like 20 fps in half life, he had 4x FSAA on. lmao
