NEED backlit driver for my Toshiba P740. Can someone PLEASE help me?

For some reason the backlit driver on my Toshiba needs to be downloaded again because the touch strip at the top of my P740 Toshiba won't work for the backlit function. I am no tech wiz so I can find the driver, no matter how much I scour the internet. Can you help me, please?!!!

Don't there is a driver or software. Looks to be a hardwired thing.
