First post.... HELP AND FRUSTRATED
i have been advised that i require to change my "fraunhofer mp3 codec.
this is the email i recieved...

Typically this is a result of not having a 'full' MP3 Audio codec with
the version of Windows you have. To check your audio codec version:

1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Sound and Audio Devices
2. Click on the Hardware tab.
3. Highlight Audio Codec's and click the Properties button
4. Click the Properties tab.
5. Highlight Fraunhofer IIS and click the Properties button.
6. Click on Faunhofer and click on Properties
7. Your type of MP3 Codec should be listed in parenthesis as either
advanced, professional, encode, or as decode only. If it is listed as
decode only, the version of Windows you have did not include the
ability

great thats what i have decode only so anybody have a way of getting
applying and intergrating this into my hardware profiles.

I only discovered this as i am installing a phone tools programmes and
converting mp3s to ring tones but hell why should i have not full
capability..

Please help its doing my head in..

Thanks
