I forsee the Earth as a land of peace. Within 20 years, nobody will ever think of attacking another land, or even speaking harsh words to another human being. There will be no money. Everyone will take what they need, and nothing else. People will do what they enjoy, and animals will be trained to do the unpleasant jobs. People will be happy.

Computers will play an integral part of our lives. They will perform mundane tasks for us, and everyone will have a personal robot servant. There will be instant teleportation devices, so that there is no need to get up and go to the fridge, you can teleport over to it (or your robot can get something for you). We will all be content.

The government will be non-existant. Everyone will do what is right, so there will be no need for one. Countries will cease to exist, and we will all be able to roam freely, making friends in foreign countries easily, thanks to the universal translators.

All in all, within 20 years, we will be living in the perfect world.

Imagine the exact opposite. That's much more likely.

I forsee the Earth as a land of war. Within 20 years, nobody will ever think of not attacking another land, let alone tearing someone apart because they did a stupid hardware review. Money will mean everything. Everyone will take what they need, and everything else they can get their grubby little mitts on. People will do what they please, and animals will be trained cruelly to do the unpleasant jobs. People will be mean and sad.

Computers will play an integral part of our lives. They will perform sexual favors for us, and everyone will have a personal robot servant (that one takes on a new meaning). There will be no easy way of transportation, so that there is people will need to go through intensive training to even live in the harsh world. If you need something from the fridge, you'll have to go through an obstacle course just to get to it. We will all be spiteful and bitter.

The government will be all-powerful. Everyone will try to do the wrong thing, so there will be need for harsh robotic police. Countries will split and multiply, and we will never be able to travel to a different land, making friends in foreign countries impossible. Nobody will speak the same language, making peace impossible.

All in all, within 20 years, we will be living in an absolute hellhole.

Yeah some1 help him.

I see IT advancing financial status in the future. Don't forget that really the future is already happening. Soon we will have multi cards. These house a chip in wich out personal details are held as well as bank, credit card, loans are all stored. Hard currency will become obselete as the search for a united single currency is finally realised. Electronic money will be the norm. Bank machines will be a thing of the past with the hole in the wall being used to check account status and not much else. So ther'll be no middle man - ie the banking shop front. There fore banks will be cheaper to run - thus higher interest rates for the customer resulting in more interest earned on savings accounts. - this will result in a slightly better off nation therefore allowing higher public spending (don't know where I'm going from here but my fingers are typing quite quick) higher public spending means a better inflation rate there fore land, vehicle etc prices will drop allowing more saved cash and eventually if this continues the general public will have more money than is needed. So the goverment must react to this. In the future there will be a greater need for higher electronic security, hacking and electronic fruad will be rife unless sufficient security measures can be put in place from the beggining.

hope this springs a few ideas.

That won't happen for at least another 40~50 years. There are to many old people in control unwilling to get rid of hard curency. We are all for it because we are lazy and it's easier for us. I think that it's going to change significantly as our generation or the one after ours gets in control.

Soon, there will be no such thing as 'cash' or 'change'. We'll all have some little plastic card with a silicon chip itside it. EVERY transaction will be electronic.
