Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to buy a video card with tv in and use my computer as a VCR. is that Possible?

If so, what about ati all in one? wich would be the minimum amount of ram in the board needed? I have an atlhon 1ghz with 256 ram and a 30gb hd.

Whith that board could i play games?

Sorry for the amount of questions, but i am putting up a new computer and a bit confused on what to buy!

Check nVidia's website out. They just released a home entertainment multi-function device that plugs into Geforce cards. Looks interesting, and it might be right up your alley. Even comes with a remote, and it says you can program it to record like a VCR or do intant replays.

ATi Radeon AIW 32mb is your best bet. Its have the Connectors for the VCR and its like $180 some places. Well its plays games pretty good faster then the MX400 and G450 will proform around a GeForce 2 GTS. Also it has the Rage Theater Chip making all hardware not Software on some nvidia cards.

Nice Intel and AMD users get a Cookie.... Yummy

Make sure you use one with "hardware compression" such as the AIW Radeon, software compression is not too good yet and still sees some jerkyness.

I'm so tired of cookies I'd settle for spam!
