OK, let me be frank.. I don't know jack about graphics cards. That's a shame, considering my knowledge of the rest of what's in the case doesn't help my 3-D apps unless the accelerator is up to speed. I currently have a Voodoo2 12 MB card. I know I could get another Voodoo card and hook it to the old one to combine their memory. Can I do this with, say, a GeForce2 Ultra? Are there compatibility issues?

I think it was called a VooDoo SLI setup(two cards running in parallel for increased speed).

You need two VooDoo cards, it is not compatible with other cards.

I wouldn't bother anyway. The current crop of video cards are alot faster. The GeForce is alot faster than your VooDoo, and the graphic detail is much better. I am not up to speed on what is the latest or greatest, so others may be able to recommend something better.

If you are trying to set-up a dual monitor desktop, I am not really sure of compatibilty issues or what software you need.

Try posting some more details of what hardware you already have, what you will use the card for, and how much you want to spend. There are plenty of hardware junkies that can better answer you questions.

 What's the point of having a signature of the week?? It's the same every week!

The GeForce 2 Ultra is at least 300% more powerfull than your Voodoo card, no need to run them parallel, and you couldn't anyway. But if your using a VooDoo 2 "3D Accelerator card" with a separate graphics card, the Ultra would be great for most games while the VooDoo would come in handy for those few old games that only support "Glide"
