I have a BACk-UPS 350 connected to my Winxp pro system through USB. I
would like to configure it to shutdown Winxp when is on battery not on
AC. I just can not find the place to configure it. Can someone please
help me out? I thought native USB would be able to do this.

Desktop | Properties | Screen Saver | Power | UPS. Select your UPS and
choose your options. If your UPS is not listed you will have to install the
dedicated software that came with it.

According to APC after install USB UPS, on the power options tab, there
would be no UPS tab anymore instead, with Alarm tab and Power meter
tab. I don't see where I can setup shutdone OS options at all.

APC UPSes usually come with their own UPS monitoring software. known as
PowerChute. Did you install this?

I did then I uninstalled it since it is not able to shutdown OS in less
than 1 minutes. With native Usb support, it is configurable in
conjunction with hibernation. I would prefer just to shutdown.
