I built a new system I am getting wierd effect every time I move the scroll or move in a 3d game. Instead of looking smooth...the screen looses quality and is more pixilized. I never noticed this on my last screen which was 17' and my new screen is 19'. In 3d games like Half Life the textures become distorted when I move. There seems to be hundreds of lines making up the textures instead of smooth looking surfaces. Again, I never noticed this on my previous system.
Here's my system:
1.4 Gig Athalon
MSI 266FSB MB
256 MB DDR Ram
MX300 Sound Card
MSI Geforce 2 Pro
Samsung 950p 19' Monitor
Logitech mouseman
Logitech keyboard

I'm using the 12.41 Detanator Drivers and have flashed my bios and have updated my MB drivers. I can't figure out if it's a setting in my Geforce 2 card that I need to adjust or if this is a normal thing with larger monitors.

I would love your feedback and help.
Thanks.

well try using the 6.50 drivers available at the nVidia sire or here and a heap of thor places. Remember that the 6.50's are the only ones available at the nVidia site all those with a higher designation are prerelease BETA's and don't have all the bugs worked out yet.

oh and a tip on installation:

since you already have drivers for the card installed I recommend when updating the driver, don't let windows search for a suitable driver. Click "Have Disk" and browse to the location where the 6.50's are. Then you will get prompts telling you that the drivers are older than the ones currentl on your machine. Just click yes (replace newer with older) to each prompt, since there is no "yes to all" option.

hey just to be on the safe side...

what kind of speakers do you have??

How close are they to your monitor??

Electromagnetic interference may degrade video quality
