Hello
I have a new Vaio computer and it had a bunch of viruses on it, so I decided
to wipe the hard drive and load XP on it again. The thing is I did not have
my original Vaio restore CD, so I used my eMachines restore CD.
Everything was deleted on my Vaio just fine. Now I am at the XP setup, to
insert a name for my computer, and when I click next, it does nothing. It
will think for a minute, and do nothing else- it will not go to the next
page.
Any suggestions how I can get around this?
It won't let me into safe mode either, because windows is not loaded all the
way.
Thanks for your help

Contact Sony to obtain the correct installation CD.

You cannot restore the Sony using an eMachines restore CD. You must
purchase a Sony Vaio restore CD for the family of Vaio that you are
restoring.
