Hey, I just put Tiny7 on this old laptop to breathe some new life into it and I've discovered that it's not immediately apparent how to enable Windows Aero. Is there a way, and does anyone know how to do it? Thanks.

It may not be an option with an older graphics controller..

Okay, so I'm there and I enable "Best Appearance" and nothing happens. Do I need to download an Aero theme to be able to use it, because I dunno if Tiny7 actually comes with any.

Ah, gotcha. this thing is about 6 years old, so that may be the case. Thanks.

Yeah, to the best of my knowledge Aero requires ATI HD3000 or better and nVidia 8000 series or better. Earlier chipsets are not supported. I am unsure of Intel integrated graphics, but I imagine anything older than 4 years is not supported.

I just wanted to add that I had Aero on a FX 5500 nVidia card out-of-the-box. And I've heard some are enabling it even on older cards with hacking but it has a huge performance hit.
