Has anyone had experience with the Acronis partioning program and XP? I'm
wondering how it compares with Partition Magic.

I'd appreciate comments from anyone who has had direct experience with the
Acronis product or can refer me to any impartial reviews comparing the two.

I have had experience with both products and now I can say that, IMHO,
Acronis Disk Director is better due to several reasons. For example,
ADD is much more convenient and easier to use and it's faster then
Magic. About Norton support: you have to wait for response more than
week. So, I prefer Acronis software. However, Magic is a good program
too; they are both worthy of praise.
Oh, I forgot to say that Acronis partition manager is cheaper =)

Yes, I also use Acronis Disk Director, as it's one of the best
partition software.
After a total system failure I had to change my hard disk. I am
grateful to them being so cheap nowadays. I regret not backing my
system up. So I had to build my new system from the scratch. First I
needed good partitioning software. And I got Disk Director Suite 9.0. I
created several partitions with different file systems. I was very
satisfied. Then I began experimenting on them and installing different
OSes. Suddenly something strange happened and I have lost several
Windows partitions. So I try recovery expert provided by Acronis. It
successfully found and recovered all the vanished partitions. Now I am
sure that Disk Director will do any partition trick to me.
