As the title says, I`d like to know what position would be best in terms of cooling(?) for the HDD: - HDD better in it`s original place, to the mid of the laptop - HDD better in close to the edge, in the place of the DVD unit
I use a bay/adaptor in the place of the DVD unit for the secondary disk.

Where it was ORIGINALLY designed to be, although HDs do not normally have any heat problems...
All the best Brett
Thank you, I`ll leave it there then. I know HDDs do not have heat problems but any additional heat they generate (and they do) I should get rid of, if possible. This is my first laptop and I want to keep it in good shape for as long as possible.
