res. probs with v7700 gf2 pro card need some help

I've recently installed a new asus v7700 gf2 pro 64mb video card. But now I can't raise the resolution beyond 1200 x 1024 even though my monitor can support up to 1920 x 1440 without any problems on my old viper 770.

my sys specs:

asus a7v mobo
tb 800 mhz
asus v7700 gf2 pro 64 ddr
650 MB pc-133 ram
terratec 512 I soundcard
lite-on 10-12-32 cd-burner
19 philps 109s monitor

driver specs:
mobo bios: 1008
via drivers: 4.32
detonators 12.90
direcx. 8.0
win ME and 98 Se

I’ve tried several monitor/detonator/via drivers but the problems is still there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Never mind, fixed it myself. I should have done a bit more research before I bugged you people with this question.
I used powerstrip to wack my computer into 1600 x 1200.
