i have an asus v7700 deluxe 32mb(gts). i always just used the 6.31c drivers that came with the card from asus and get about 85fps in counterstrike. some articles i read in toms guide made me beleive that if i upgrade my driver i'll get more performance. i upgraded to 21.81 drivers from nvidias site and my fps went down to 75 fps. did i do somehting wrong or is my asus card just best left with the drivers that asus gave me?

repeat after me, we are all individuals!

Hmm, that shouldn't happen. Which os u using. Another possibility is that when a new vid card comes out, teh company often focuses its efforts on drivers for that vid card, and therefore the ones before it often suffer in performance when new drivers are installed. The reviews was comparative to 12.xx drivers I beleive, so maybe u would get an even lower FPS w/ those. Do try the 12.60 drivers and tell us your findings though, as this may help in finding a solution to your problem.
