*LINUX* Nvidia driver install

I went step by step (well at least i thought i did) with the install fo the nvidia geforce drivers and I am having some problems
when I start X this is the error message that i receive

no screens found.

So as you can see I am having a big problem or just a small one with some Xpert advice. please help I am getting a little upset. thanx
