Calm down, it's the server. On a DSL connection, I'm only getting 2.3 KB/sec right now. Just wait 20 minutes, if it's worth it. Sorry...probably not what you wanted to hear.

Before closing that download dialog, it was down to 1.5 KB/sec. Super slow...

I just did a tracert to the www.soyo.com.tw, and this is what it came up with:

Trace complete.</font color=green>

They've got bad latency. Everything past the 11th hop is just plain nasty...

Yeah, it's pretty sad. Asus used to be like that, too. Perhaps a bunch of email might help 'em switch to a better ISP.

Man, I'm disgusted.

I wouldn't consider 170 ms nasty.

Okay, maybe 16, 17, and 18. I'm not sure how low the ping times should be.

Can you recommend a good Trace Route program? I have been without for a long time.

What's up Zigzag,
Windows has one built-in already (at least 2000 and XP do, I'm not sure about Windows 9x and ME, but they probably do as well). Open up a command prompt (Start Menu > Programs > Accessories) and type:

<font color=green>tracert www.btvillarin.com</font color=green>

then press enter. You can enter any site you want, but that was just my website for demonstrative purposes.
