Touch screen yes or no?

Im hearing a lot of hype with regards to windows8 and touch screen tech, my question is, is it worth it? is the tech good enough to warrent the investment in new monitors etc, and will it make keyboard and mouse redundent in the future?

If Windows 7 is doing everything you need with your current monitor, why pay M$ for the upgrade and a fair few hundred £ on a new screen, just so you can use your fingers. As for making keyboard and mouse redundent, probably will, but until Win7 is replaced with Win9 and current non-touch hardware is replaced, 5 years?

I will always use a mouse. More accurate, easier to use.
