Video Card Problems

Has anyone seen this type of problem before??? I bought an ASUS V7700 deluxe card this weekend and I've not had any luck installing it. What happens is after the computer posts, windows starts loading (like normal) but just before it gets to the Windows password the screen gets green lines running from the top to the bottom. If anyone has seen this type of problem before, please let me know what the resolution is. My system specs are the following AMD 1GB, ASUS A7V MB with 1008 bios 640MB ram...etc.etc.etc

Yup, 640MB. 2 * 256MB and 1 * 128MB sims.

I've since been able to get the card working. What the problem is was I hadn't uninstalled the old drivers from my other card, I had only just set the display to standard VGA.
