In a nutshell: Some sounds on Windows are very quiet and others are
normal.
More explanation:
I was editting sounds in Audacity (a sound editting program, if you
couldn't guess when suddenly my sound became very quiet. I quit the
program, and fiddled around with all the sound options in Control
Panel, but alas to no success. I restarted, the problem still remained.
I redownloaded my sound card's drivers and restarted, and yet still no
success! So I decided I'd just turn the volume up on my speakers until
I could hear my sounds like before, and started up the game World of
Warcraft. Oddly, the sounds in it were blasted out of my speakers at a
very high volume, so I adjusted the volume on the speakers to what they
were before, and the sound was perfect. However, other sounds on my
computer were still very quiet at my speakers' usual level...
I'm completely stumped! Hope somebody here knows a possible solution.
