Hi everyone,

I have Win XP pro

2.8 p4
200gb Segate
nvidia 128 card
1gb ram
when drive is hooked up as a slave I see all files and partitions but
still can't boot from just that drive

When I go to load windows I get the splash screen then a reboot.

I put in my Install CD and went to the repair option where I eventually
get to the

c:windows prompt
I thought that (and have used before)
%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe to get back to the restore
point but for some reason I get

The command is not recognized.

Can anyone offer some light please on somehthing that I can try next
from the C:windows repair console THANK YOU VM

Hi,

You can't run System Restore (rstrui.exe) from the Recovery Console, you'd
have to reach at least Safe mode with command prompt from the boot menu.
Rather than running the Recovery Console, you should instead run a repair
installation.
