3D Graphic Design**Whats The Best Card?

I'm Anticipating building a powerful workstation for 3D graphic animation design with a lot of Open GL usage, on the platform of Win2k. Trying to decide which graphic card would be suited for the task. The contenders that come to mind are ATI, Elsa, GeForce... Anybody have any recommendations with the specs to backup their post? Any feedback will be much appreceiated.

The best can be either of TWO: Gforve3 Ti-500 or the new Radon 8500..these are near to each other in the top performance..ATI had something new in markte thatI did not know about..check the 2 companies sites..since they make the best 3D graphics..the cost nearly $350..I assume that is not big deal..any processor faster than 1.2GH AMD or 1.5GH interl will be the best..19 or 21 inch flat monitor will be fine..wont cot more that $2000.
