When I try to update my Windows XP Professional, I get to where I choose
Express or Custom. When I choose any of them I get the Error 0X80072EFD. I
looked it up on the Microsoft support site and tried everything they
suggested but still cannot get to the updates. When I try to go to online
support I get Page cannot be displayed. Also when I try tu update AVG virus
definition I get Page cannot be displayed. Any idea what could be causing
this. I also tried tech support from the manufacturer of the computer and
they suggested to re-install windows. I tried the repair but to no avail.

Thanks for the tips. I tried the methods but still does not work. I
noticed that they have Norton Internet Security installed which expired
11/19/04. I tried to uninstall it but couldn't. It requires a supervisor
status, but there were no supervisor status to start with. I wonder if
Norton could be interefereing with the system even though it's expired and
all the items are disabled.
