I am preparing to make an attempt to make a clean upgrade install to Windows 7. I have a question that I would like answered before I start. My data is backed up on Carbonite. My question is how do I determine what specific drivers to I need to have handy and what drivers can I transfer from my backup? Can I use DriverAgent after the install? Dumb question I know, But I have never attempted this before.

Hi Oldog,

The Upgrade Advisor that Jonmor68 pointed you to is a great tool... I recommend using it :)

After you get the go-ahead from the Upgrade Advisor and install, Windows 7 will locate drivers for you. You can also manually run Windows Updates - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Install-Windows-updates

If Windows doesn't find all the drivers you need, you can visit manufacturer websites of your hardware to download the correct drivers.

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Cassandra
