I've recently thrown an PIII-600EB on my Abit BH6. Everything seems fine except after 5 minutes or so, the system freezes. CPU temp never gets over 78F. Im guessing the AGP bus running at 76Mhz is causing video problems. If I lower the system bus to 124, everything is rock solid. Does anyone else have any idea. Its about time to upgrade video anyway, but need to known which cards can handle the fast AGP bus speed... or do I need a new motherboard.

Thanks in advance!

Ummmm... part of the problem could be that the EB processors are designed to work on a 133MHz bus. Set your bus speed to 133MHz and then your AGP/PCI bus divider will set everything back to how it's supposed to be. I think this might fix your problem.

I think the problem is that while my BX board does 133Mhz, it only has a 2/3 multiplier for the AGP bus, which puts it at 88Mhz, which is too fast for the TNT.. I think. It seems to work fine at 82.6Mhz (124Mhz system bus speed)

I have a TNT2 m64 in an k6-III and it doesn't like being pushed past the 105mhz bus.

All Radeon cards, even the LE. All GeForce2 cards, even the MX200 (crap).

In order of price/quality, I recommend the MX400, Radeon LE, GeForce2 GTS, Gainward Golden Sample (GF2 Pro with faster memory).

I don't know how well the GeForce3 does with bus overclocks, nor the Radeon 8500.

The mobo said the AGP bus was at 70

My mistake, it's still not far enough to bother most cards. Most earlier cards get squirely around 80MHz or slightly higher. The GeForce2 series generally can take up to around 100MHz AGP bus clock.
