When playing DVDs on my dvd rom drive the display only seems to show the middle of the picture and not the edges. For example a image of somebodts whole face only shows the nose area. This also applies to .wav and mpegs images. These images are fine on other machines and it doesnt matter what software/programs i use. Can anybody please help me out here. Is it a XP problem, graphics card or dvd rom problem?

sounds like a software problem. What software are you using to play each of these?

If you have an nVidia card, go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display, and under Settings/Advanced/Your Video Card/Overlay Controls, make sure that the Video Control Zoom Overlay is set to "Out".
