1. What is your budget? <$750

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 14"-15.6"

3. What screen resolution do you want? 1366x768 is probably the only resolution in my price range, but higher is fine by me.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? I have a gaming rig, I need this for portable light gaming.

5. How much battery life do you need? Nearly irrelevant to me, but I guess 5 hours at least with browsing internet.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? League of Legends (Low), CS:S (Low)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Creating text documents and browsing the internet and streaming live 1080p video.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 500GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. www.newegg.com + Any other reputable source.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? As long as possible. 2-4 yr. I guess.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? Any. Even without, don't care.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I prefer ASUS and Acer because I have had great personal experience, and I don't dislike any brands except Dell because I don't like the styles of their notebooks that I've had in the household, but you may be able to prove me wrong so don't let it stop you.

13. What country do you live in? USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. I REALLY need there to be a dedicated graphics card, and I REALLY REALLY prefer that the exterior of the notebook is completely matte if possible, but if not gloss is ~okay :( .
Also, suggesting refurbished laptops is perfectly fine with me. I am willing to buy used.

THANK YOU!

edit: Re-made post in format suggested. Should've read stickies first.

Spotted this the other day, believe this is what you're looking for.

Also let me through this one in, because it sounds like you may be open to a higher resolution, but it's 17.3", also it has an i7 quad core, i5's on laptops are dual core with hyperthreading. On the down side I don't see the 730m performing well on games at 1920x1080..

Yeah, I have been looking into the V3 series for quite some time and will probably go with it in the end but the gloss on that thing.. also the highest I go is 15.6" so the 17" is not for me but thanks for the 730m suggestion. I've been looking at the one with the 630m for $550 but now I might go for the 730m.

I think I'd go for the 730m, when you're at this range every little bit helps make a difference when you're just trying to make it in the playable range of some games. It plays about the same as a 640m. It's important to get the best base possible in your range for laptops because you can't really change anything but memory and hdd in them. That's why I also listed the 15" i7 640m at 700$.
