Spybot is identifying a security issue in the registry. Here is the line in
question:
Left Pane: HKLM | Software | Microsoft | Security Center
Right Pane: AntiVirusDisableNotify (1)
If this means that I should be notified if my antivirus program is disabled,
then I'd think this is correct.
All of the other lines in the right pane have values of (0).
What SHOULD the entry say?

Disregard Spybot on this issue. You are correct. That 1 means do notify upon disable.

Thanks for the reply. However, I wonder if you might not be mistaken.
Here's what I discovered looking through the Security Center applet.
I clicked on "Change the Way Security Center Alerts Me." The box "Alert me
if my computer might be at risk because of my virus protection software
settings" was NOT checked. I checked the box, then looked back at the
registry setting and it had been changed to (0), like the other lines.
Is it possible that the (1) means that the "notify" has been disabled?
It seems that only the "alerts" were turned off, though not the monitoring.
I'm inclined to leave the box checked (and the registry value at 0), since I
wouldn't mind it if an alert were to pop up.
What do you think?
