1. What is your budget? $900-1100

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15” or less

3. What screen resolution do you want? HD, LED, 1920x1080

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Mostly a replacement desktop with some portability

5. How much battery life do you need? Doesn’t really matter.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? I would like to play on at least medium settings for games such as: Diablo 3, Starcraft II, FIFA 13, and Batman Arkham City

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Some possible video editing as well as audio editing. Otherwise, mostly for use in running my blog.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500gb or more
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/spec/getntbkspec.aspx?id=W1...
Something from: http://www.sagernotebook.com or
http://www.xoticpc.com
I would also be open to other sites that would provide decide notebooks. I do prefer being able to customize my setups. I did look at www.mythologic.com as well as www.doghousesystems.com but both are a bit pricey. I do know that they both do extensive testing, but that is also part of the tradeoff.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 3-4 years minimum

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? DVD writer/Bluray player

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I would prefer to buy Clevo based and stay away from major name brands. I haven’t had a whole lot of luck with brands such as Toshiba, HP, and Compaq.

13. What country do you live in?
United States

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed: I’m basically looking for a midrange gaming laptop, something that is able to run games for me when I’m traveling and also fast enough that I don’t annoyed while trying to do work on it.

First of all I want to start by saying are you sure you want a laptop?

Typically the price - performance ratio on a laptop when compared to a desktop PC is far less worthwhile. I understand that some people don't mind and want the portability of the laptop, I completely understand.

A few Laptops I reccomend are:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Both are very worthwhile laptops from well trusted brands.

There probably are more choices out there, but these are the two I came up with after a bit of searching. If you ask me, the MSI laptop is a much better deal ;) .

I'll check those out, but first wanted to answer your question.

I have a gaming rig already that I use primarily, but wanted something that I can take with me on vacation. I also wanted it to be able to use to work on my blog on the road or around the house for that matter. At the same time, I want it at least somewhat capable of playing games.
