voodoo 2 sli

I have a creative labs voodoo 2 12 mb and planning to get from someone a voodoo 2 12 mb but different brand..
can i SLI them together beacuse my manual says it must be the same brand. I have the latest reference driver from 3dfx.com and i don't know whether they let me sli two different brands of voodoo 2..
