I allready posted this on the mobo forum.. but just to further vent and exspress my displeasure I figured I share a modified version...

WHY T F do all the new VIA KT266A boards Have integrated audio .. I'm totally miffed .. I say we forge an anti integrated alliance!!!!!

I am a goober.. with just enough knowledge to be dangerous .. .. will you hold this for a sec?

Can't you just not use it? Disable the feature in the bios settings.

Integrated sound rocks!!!! It's great. It's the best thing since...the last best thing. WOOOHHOOO!!!! OLO!!!! Lets hear it for Integrated sound!!

Integrated sound on an older CPU sucked since it couldn't handle it and would bog down and stall. With a Ghz processor though integrated sound isn't bad. If you want better sound stick a pci card in there and disable the onboard sound in the bios.
