When reading the requirements for games, it'll usually say something like "32MB video card". What I wanted to know was, does a 32MB DDR card = "32MB video card" or "64MB video card"?
There are two different types of memory interface available for many cards, DDR and SDR. DDR is theoretically twice as fast. Since most apps do not need 64MB, a 32MB DDR card is much faster than a 64MB SDR card.
DDR means Double Data Rate. SDR meand Single Data Rate. Both interfaces use SDRAM similar to what's in you PC but at a higher frequency. The 32MB means what it says.
