deleting a file

i am installing a new antivirus program and need to delete all old ones
before i install the new one. so i use add\remove programs and i try to
uninstall mcafee security center and i get a messege that says " Mcafee
SecurityCenter uninstall failed! INF file missing"

i try to uninstall mcafee virus scan and i get a internet explorer script
error messege that says
" ! An error has occured in the script on this page

Error: Invalid procedure call or argument
Code: 0

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?"

i click yes and it goes to the uninstallation window, but doesn't make any
progress, how do i uninstall the programs?

The McAfee site has specific instructions for manually removing its
antivirus software, by version.
