Forum Old Man/Woman's Club : Other Sick of Crappy Retailers

I'm sick of Crappy retailers, lying to me, ignoring my mails, not doing what they say, giving wrong instructions, and the list goes on...

I'm just venting, feel free to write about your crappy experiences.

Compusa showed online they had the 3d prophet 4500 at a local store online, I called and they didn't pick up the phone. I went there, and they said it wouldn't be in for about a week and a half. I went home and called the main compusa place to find out which stores had it, since their web site said 3 had it. Guess what? NONE OF THEM DID! EVERY SINGLE STORE WAS OUT OF STOCK, so I ordered online. But then I found the OEM at newegg for $20 cheaped and cancelled my Compusa order, but they ignored my e-mail (which I send 2 days before they sent it out) and sent it, charged me for a video card I didn't want.

Micro Pro told one of the price search engines it had a ti200 in stock so I went there. it said it would be there in 2 days so I ordered. now today they say it won't be there or ship out till freakin next week.

Another annoying thing is about 6 retailers not sending stuff when they said they would. Newegg.com (my favorite place to buy) even flat out ignored BIG CAPITAL COMMENTS IN THE COMMENTS SECTION AND SCREWED UP MY ORDER. I;m done venting, all the rest of you have the continual probs I have?

Dude,
Sorry you had such a rough time. I personally haven't had any problems with Micro Pro or New Egg but I guess everyone has their bad days. I haven't had any problems recently. But I haven't been purchasing stuff. I had a hell of a time getting my MP processors and ram when I built my computer. It ended up costing me about an extra $200 for their screwups. I can't even remember who all I tried but it was a lot.

I ordered an Abit KT7A-Raid mobo once from Pc Progress. They sent me a non-raid mobo in a raid box. Bastages! Then they expected me to pay for return shipping. I cancelled my order but they screwed that up also. They shipped me backordered parts I had already cancelled two weeks earlier. I've had pretty good luck with Micro Pro.

I have yet to have a problem at mwave.com. However, my last order was not packaged that well, the contents being placed and delivered in an ABIT KG7 box. Abit may make great boards, but their boxes just don't cut the mustard when used for shipping! While the box arrived torn, all contents were in original manufacturer boxes, and nothing was damaged.

I am disappointed nontheless.......
