I just picked up an iPAQ model H3630 off of e-bay.The unit was new in the
box.I tried to download a program
from the internet to the PC through my desktop which
is synked to the iPAQ.I did this previously with a different
iPAQ with no problem. This time the download is ok but
the program has to be registered to open up all of the
features. In order to register, you have to tap on help while
in the program and it will come up with an ID no.All of this worked fine
with the other iPAQ but with this one
it comes up with ID unknown. The program I am trying
to use is WingX by Hilton software. It is a system for pilots to calculate
various aeronautical problems.I have contacted The president of Hilton
Software and he tells me this is a problem with some older units using older
software.

Can anyone help me resolve this?

You may need to flash the bios (operating system) of the ipaq to the latest
version.
