error copying files

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support (More info?)

I am having a problem copying files or rather whole folders in windows xp pro.

I keep getting Error copying file or folders.
cannot read from source file or or disk.

Yet....if I go to the specific file that caused the error, I can read
it...and copy it by itself...but not within a group of files.

help?

Thanks jerry, but that's not it......

After I get the error message that I can't copy the xxx file.....i can go
into the directory open the file and copy the file individually with no
problem.

I've been on the phone with MS tech support for almost 2 hours
now.....arghhhhh

That would be too simple.......it could actually be a different file every
time.....

We think we've narrowed the problem down to a novell netware issue rather
than a windows xp issue.
