UK Ta, yes I have looked at that but it isn't the same model number as previously stated in my thread to Alvine. (50.4Z410.022)
I had a red tint to the display of my laptop so I investigated.
I discovered that the LCD cable plug that connects to the inverter had perished therefore exposing the wiring.
I managed to get another LCD cable and inverter to fit but the display is dim. I tried a different inverter but stll the same. Can anyone tell me if the part umber on each LCD cable has to match exactly as the numbers are slightly different. The original is 50.4Z410.022 but the replacement ends in 012. Is this why the screen is still dim?? I have tried to order a replacement through Acer without success, they don't have it in stock.
Please help if you can??
Can you also help with this please?? The LCD cable comes with a connection for a webcam but the model doesn't have one fitted so I assume this just has to be taped up. I have a few similar LCD cables with different part numbers that fit but still the display is dim. I have tried 2 inverters also without success.
All this leads me to assume that only the exact model LCD cable will do. Does that all make sense??
