This post is not meant to be another ATI vs NVIDIA debate. I just want to know which card will suit my needs better. I can get Gainward GeForce 3 for about the same price as an 8500.
My Setup:
Athlon 1.333GHz Ayhja(i plan on overclocking it to at least 1.5)
256 Crucial DDR
Swiftech MCX462-A with a delta 80mm screamer.
Maxtor 40 gig 7200rpm
Samsung Syncmaster 19" monitor
Abit KG7 mobo.

Any help is greatly appreciated and again, I did not intend for this to be an ATI vs Nvidia debate.

What are you talking about? "Old" Radeon 8500 and "New" Radeon 8500?

As for the 8500, I've only had 1 issue with running anything in Win2K. Unfortunately it's 3dMark2001, so I can't consistanty tweek things to get the best performance out of it. I have confidence that they will fix the drivers some time soon.

However. The Geforce 3 is still a nice card. So...

If you need a TV Out, DVI Out, or want 2 monitor simultanious support, go with the Radeon 8500. If not, the Geforce 3 is a very good choice as well.

60 FPS, 70 FPS, 80 FPS Crash!
Daylight comes and I have to go to work :frown:
