Radeon 8500 problems Please Help!!

Ok I bought the Radeon 8500, and I'm having teo major problems:

1) Max Payne wont run, It loads but then kicks me back to the desktop, I tried all settings in video modes, same thing.
2) Alien vs Predator 2 runs very smooth but when you get to a chain or a metal floor or an elevator the texture sucks, I was able to "correct it" by setting the resolution to maximum (1792x something) but I want to be able to play it on better frame rates (1600x1200)

Any Ideas??
I'm running

P4 1.8
Asus PT4
Raid 0 Fasttrak 100 TX2 with 2 75GXP 75GB
Audigy
SCSI 1542 for my plextor cd, cdrw and Pioneer DVD
Windows XP Professional
and Radeon 8500 (not overclocked)

Runing latest drivers for XP in all cases.
