Unable to get into "display" under control panel

Try using Safe mode, and then see if you can access the Display properties, as well as Desktop's.
Press (tap & keep repeating tap) on F8 key at bootup of pc.

Have you had any corruption issues lately?

Thank you for your reply. I tried opening it both ways in safe mode and it
still didn't work. I don't think I have had any corruption issues lately. I
have an up-to-date subscription to Norton Internet Security 2005. I update
and scan weekly.

I am at a loss. Once again, I thank you for any assistance.
