OK, I think I've found the problem but...

I'm having trouble with my computer locking up in games and I might know why. In my Visiontek GF3 installation guide it says "VisionTek graphics accelerators cannot share an IRQ with another device, EXCEPT-'ACPI IRQ holder for PCI steering'. Well, under my device manager it shows I also have VIA Tek 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller.
SO! how do I change that?????

Go into BIOS and select "reserve IRQ for VGA" then select "PNP PS-NO". Also reserve IRQ5 for the SB Dos Emulation.

Could you tell me how to "Go to the BIOS and select 'reserve IRQ for VGA'..." I have been digging around but I can not figure it out.

Keep digging around in BIOS, every system is different!

If you're looking for that setting, be sure "Plug and Play OS" is set to NO first. The setting may not even appear until that is set depending on the bios.
