The Golden Palm Casino Hotel had set aside a block of rooms for CommVEx
attendees until July 15 (today). Even though the deadline has passed the
Hotel has said they will honor the price and reserve rooms for people who
call and give the code (see below) as long as they still have empty rooms
that weekend. As it stands now they still have some empty rooms so if you
wanted to book a room but kept putting it off you can still get in on these
great rates for the weekend of July 30 and 31 (arrive on the 29th if you
feel like it).

The Golden Palm Casino Hotel has given us a block of rooms and a Group
Booking rate that is better than what I have found online. Rooms for up to 2
people are $50 for Friday night, $50 for Saturday night and $34 for Sunday
night if you want to stay over. Monday to Thursday night stays are also $34.
There is a $10 per person charge for more than 2 people in a room. All rates
subject to 9% sales tax. You have your choice of Smoking or non-smoking and
can request a room with 2 Queen beds or 1 King size bed at the time you book
your room.

In order to guarantee that you can get these rates (and you can stay for
every night or only one night if you want - it is up to you) you must phone
the toll free number, 800-300-7389, and speak to Helene in the Sales Office
at Extension 703. If you don't catch her at her desk make sure you leave a
message and she will return your call. When you call to reserve your room
(you need a Credit Card to guarantee your room) use the 4-letter reservation
code "comm" to get in on the group rate.

So, if you haven't booked your room already you will want to do it soon.
Find a buddy and double up.

Looking forward to seeing as many people as possible in Las Vegas to
celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the introduction of the Commodore 128 and
all that is good in the world of Commodore in 2005.

Bruce
