Supposely next week Best Buys will have a $50 instant rebate for the VisionTek Ti 200 in which a manufacture rebate of $50 is included. Total cost $199 - $50 - $50 = <b>$99!!!</b> . So if you live in the U.S. grab your TI 200 quick at Best Buys next week. Don't expect Best Buys to have a large inventory of these, maybe 3-5 at tops per store. I got this info at Rage3d.com . It is kinda funny because Rage3d.com is really an ATI site so this is stirring up some funny debates. Such as Nvidia is secretly undercutting there cards to drive ATI under :lol: . So you might want to check it out there as well. Looks like this coming Friday is the day for this to take effect, plus each store is suppose to have at least 15 cards each. We will see if this is all true or not. Well I will pick one up here at Best Buys near me if it is for $99!!.

If it's anything like some of the Best Buy sales that they usually have, it will be 2 different mail in rebates, so it will likely be 199 with 100 back in 6-8 weeks

Supposenly it is a immediate $50 rebate in store $149 then a mail in rebate to bring the cost down to <b>$99!!!</b>. Even if you have to wait 6-8 weeks this is an outstanding buy. Well if the Best Buys by me has it then I am in . SharkyExtreme did a review of this card released today and the overclock was great 220/480 with stock heat sinks. Check out the review and you tell me this isn't a steal of the year.

I had a rebate with my RageFury, it took ATI 3 weeks from the time I sent it for me to get the rebate. Only rebate I had with ATI.

One more note: Looks like Best Buy is going to run this deal starting the day after Thanksgiven, the busiest day of the year for retail shopping.

You don't seem to understand this whole Best Buy thing. They give you a rebate form that you send to THEIR rebate warehouse, then it is forwarded to ATI. Instead of the standard ATI rebate form, it's printed out with the receipt. I've been waiting for about 8 months for my rebate, when I contacted Best Buy, they forwarded my call to ATI (a number they wouldn't give me), where the rep at ATI said "they're a little behind, should be mailed out within two weeks". For months I've been hearing this same message!

The lesson here is "don't buy ATI from Best Buy because the rebates are handled differently and can get lost in the system", whether by intent or mistake!

LOL :lol: , have any good friends that can loan you some money? There is always the local pawn shop when you can hock you girl friend or wifes jewery, they will understand, trust me . Possibly make some money in this deal, use the card for 3 months and upgrade to a Radeon 8500, hehehe just kidding.

Well I guess that rules out the Ex in loaning you some moola . Hey, that means you have parents, hmmmm, promise them the world, lawn cut, car wash, garbage take out, kitty litter scooper man etc. (Just weasel out of it later after you get your card ) Plus you could get a loan from them in which you may never pay back. Early Christmass gift, hey this is just to good to pass up, shown them how smart you are in spending their money, wisely. Come on, you can do it .

Well supposenly the 2d now with the GF3 TI series is really good and should be compariable. If you are at 1600x1200 and down they will probably be pretty much the same. I think the ATI cards will pull ahead at higher frequencies except for the LeadTek Ti 500 which supposenly beats even the Matrox 400 cards. Anyways if I get one I will find out quickly, that is if I can pick one up for $100, otherwise I will wait for a Radeon 8500 after Christmass, maybe before. This is an excellent deal no matter how you slice it up. What if your Voodoo card burns up into blazing flames, will your parents feel for you and buy you a replacement??? (Don't listen to me, I just get ya in trouble.)

Hmm... Maybe if i overclock the crap outta it, it'll die! Only problem is my dad knows that i have overclocked it before so if it died he might not do anything. Hmm... I could put my old tnt2 m64 on ebay. I run my resolutions at 1024x768. I was just asking about the image quality was because the image quality on the tnt2 m64 that came with my system was TERRIBLE! In nascar 4 it couldn't render the cars properly (weird lins on the car, edges nowhere near straight, etc.) and anything above 800x600 in 2d wasn't anywhere near sharp. Thats why i put the v3 back in. (i had it in an old system) Hmm.. walking the neighbor's dog will probably get my $30. I have a $15 rebate coming back from some blank cd-r's. That'll put me at $68. Maybe the rest of it could be part of a christmas present.

What card do you have now?? It's not looking good for getting one first thing that morning :frown: . My dad said "there's no way i'm driving up to best buy and waiting out in the cold for an hour so you can get a new video card, there's nothing wrong with your v3." Then today, i see compUSA has the radeon 64mb ddr (not the 7500) for 1/2 off also putting it at $100 also. It's looking as i might get the radeon. I would use the video in if i had it. But for all we know BestBuy won't have the sale on the Ti200. How can we believe that that source is good??

I have a Radeon 64 VIVO and it has been a very good card for me. I really wasn't planning on upgrading until after Christmas but if Best Buy has a Ti 200 for $99 it would be hard for me to turn down. You can go to Bestbuy.com and look at the current brochure which goes to 21 of November (Wed) then a new brochure should be out in which we can then know if this is for real or not. Plus you can type in your zip code and it will give you the current brochure for the stores around you. I will keep on checking into it, maybe I will try to lay away a card for this good deal if it happens that is if Best Buy does lay aways and then let me buy it at the ridiculesly low price of $99 .

I saw some little flyer from my local best buy (they have about 5 or 6 of the cards in stock @ 199.00 right now) that the Fri after Turkey day there is a big 5 hour (only!) sale coming up .. thank got I work in public education lol I have Friday off... now where the hell is my sleeping bag and boom box???

Well, When i came home from school yesterday my dad had bought a Radeon and said if I get good grades that the card is mine for free! If not well then i gotta pay for it but still!! He said there's no way he's sleepin outside of BestBuy so i can get the Ti. Oh well! Either way it works for me! The radeon has been good to me so far. Does TV-in work in XP yet?? I haven't been able to get it to work right yet. With the ATI drivers for XP for it i get 5070pts. in 3dmark2k. How is that score for XP?? I wonder if best buy will have the sale or not. If they do good luck at getting the card!
