I have Windows XP SP2 with all the current updates, 2.2Ghz P4 Celeron, 512Mb
DDR.
Everytime I install a firewall program, I have to reboot, So far no problem.
After I reboot I need to connect to the internet to activate the firewall
program I have. I connect to the internet, it tells me that I'm online, but I
cannot browse, check email, nor can I activate the firewall program just
installed. Getting frustrated, I uninstall the firewall program and
everything works fine after that. I have several firewall programs and they
all do the same thing. Nortons Internet Security 2005, Nortons SystemWorks
2005, Nortons Personal Firewall 2005, Sygate Personal Firewall and Mcafee
Online Personal Firewall they all do the same thing.
This is a fresh install of windows. Does Windows firewall interfere with
this or is it something else.

PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP ME TO RESOLVE THIS?

you should switch windows firewall off when new firewall is installed,
windows firewall will block outbound traffic from your new firewall, unless
you allow it
