I somehow lost the windows xp look and my computer is stuck in windows
classic mode I tried changing the theme back to xp but it is gone, I have no
idea what to do HELP

Hi

Click on Start | Run and then type services.msc in the run box.

Now the services control panel will open.
scroll down till you see the word Themes. Make sure its status is running
and not stopped. Start it if required.
now you will be able to use themes on your computer.

Force Classic Start Menu
Set to: Not Configured

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Desktop Themes\
Load a specific visual style file or force Windows Classic
Set to: Not Configured
