I'm downloading Mandrake right now and hope to have it up with it the next couple of days. I am wondering what version of the client will work. There anr a ton at seti's DL site http://www.setihome.com/unix.html.
So if someone could point me in the right direction since I don't have a clue about Linux yet. If it makes a difference it is a Athalon 800.
Thanks

Does anyone here use seti@home on a Linux box that has any idea?

You don't really 'install' it you have to uncompress it then run it. I usually use Midnight Commander (type in mc hit enter), it's a file manager.
