Good 2D image quality

I am building a computer for my girl friend. She does not play any game. The primary use of the computer is surf internet and using Microsoft Office.
From what I know I think Matrox board produce better image quality than than board from nVidia and ATI. Is it true? I am thinking about getting the Matrox G450. Any suggestion?

Pretty much any Matrox card will have better 2d than any ATI or Nvidia offering. I just wish Matrox had all the features that the other cards do!

Actually, the Radeon 8500 has a 400MHz RAMDAC now so it should have better 2D quality than a Matrox card although I haven't had the chance the compare them myself.
